Locations of Thornvale

Thornvale is a border county with many places to work, trade and scheme. Travel between them costs time and a little energy.

• Your Dwelling — Whatever roof you can call your own. Rest here, wash, and keep your head down.
• The Fields — Long rows of wheat and turnip. The work is honest and the pay is thin.
• Market Square — Stalls, haggling, and rumor. If it can be bought or sold, it happens here.
• The Forge — Coal-smoke and the ring of the hammer. Ore goes in, tools and blades come out.
• The Gilded Boar — Ale, hot food, dice, a bed for the night, and half the town's secrets.
• Cathedral of Saint Aldous — Cold stone and candle-smoke. People come to pray, confess, or be seen praying.
• Thornvale Keep — Lord Baelric's seat. The guards decide who gets past the gate, and it's rarely you.
• Blackroot Wood — Game, timber, herbs, and a cold river. Bandits work these trees too.
• Deepdelve Mine — Shafts driven deep into the mountain. Good ore, bad air, and the odd rockfall.
• The Barracks — Drill yards and weapon racks. Where the town's fighting men are made.
• The Shadowrows — After dark the watch looks the other way, and coin buys almost anything.
